MANAGING PARTNER

Robbert J.F. de Klerk is the founder and managing partner of Orange Equity, LLC. Robbert was born and raised in the Netherlands. He moved to Los Angeles, California, at age twenty, and lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and three children. The “Orange” in Orange Equity is a nod to Robbert’s Dutch heritage, as Orange is both the national color of the Netherlands as well as the last name of the Dutch royal family.

After receiving two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Pepperdine University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, all cum laude, Robbert went on to become the managing partner of a successful Southern California law firm. In 2008, after eight years as an active trial lawyer and a passive investor, he retired from the practice of law and went on to found Orange Equity in order to implement and pursue his vision of what a fund should do for its clients.

Currently, Robbert is assisted on a a full-time basis by an analyst, an administrative assistant, and an accountant. Additional staff are brought in on a per-project basis. Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth serves as firm counsel on all transactions.
